If the document you want to edit with Word is version controlled, it is
automatically checked out when you select it for editing (presuming you have
write rights to it). When you save it, it is uploaded to the server but remains
the experimental version, i.e. it is not checked in. When you close the
document in Word, you are prompted with the question if you want the document
to be checked in again or not (see Figure 98). Click on the OK button to
check in the document.
